Essential Hammock-Wear

AFTER A FEW TOO MANY MONTHS spent in sweat-pant based outfits, there’s something deeply cathartic about pulling something a little more…intentional out of your closet. We’re not giving up our sweatsuits yet (or let’s be honest, ever) but there is great joy to be found in the kind of summer staples meant for leisurely park hangs, backyard picnics and taking pictures in front of local monuments; fluid dresses, denim, shorts and lightweight knits, athleisure items, prints and sandals. The best bit? They all rival sweats when it comes to ease of wear. Just doesn’t look it.

Calling All Adventurers

IF MODERN LIFE HAS EVER MADE YOU wish you could stuff a small bag and hop on the very first flight somewhere warm and dripping in foliage, you might at least be comforted by an assortment that would pack up perfectly. Graphic t-shirts, summer polos and camp collar shirts pair with 24/7 shorts, light wash denim, and lounge sets. Slides and loafers are just the thing for long walks on the beach or sunset hunting. But if you’re not actually going anywhere, they’re still the best choice for an outside grilling session (and nobody’s going to stop you from putting one of those little umbrellas in your drink, either).
